Maine Program Development Resources


Maine Department of Health and Human Services and the Maine Department of Education collaboratively developed the following early learning guidelines:

  • The State of Maine Early Childhood Learning Guidelines - The State of Maine Early Childhood Learning Guidelines serves as a guide for state and local early care and education practitioners’ efforts to improve early childhood professional practice and programs for young children ages three through their entrance into kindergarten.

  • Infant-Toddler Early Learning Guidelines - This document offers parents of infants and toddlers, early childhood professionals and policy makers a set of guidelines about development and early learning.
