Institute Fellowship

FLAME will award one full scholarship to a teacher of Latin or Greek who is
interested in attending the CANE Institute which is held in the summer.
Final selection will be made by the FLAME Advisory Board. All applicants
will be notified by June 1.

The candidate:
 |
must be a member of FLAME and the Classical Association of New England;
|
 |
must have at least two years of teaching experience in Maine schools;
|
 |
must submit, as part of the application process, a statement from an
immediate supervisor certifying current teaching and total length of
service; |
 |
must attend the entire CANE Institute; |
 |
must agree to present a workshop session (at the FLAME Conference
following the summer institute or
at a meeting of a regional foreign language collaborative outside of
his/her school district) based upon the materials and knowledge gained at
the CANE Institute; |
 |
must submit a brief report, to be published in the FLAME Newsletter,
to the FLAME Advisory Board by October 1. |
