Test blades must be:
Cost effective: fall within the budgetary restraints of the ORPC project
Accurate: 0.1° angle of attack variation, .01” max error (desirable) in camber
Easy to manufacture: can be obtained within a reasonable time period preferably from UMO campus, MMA campus or local contractor
Strong: Adequate end fixity to eliminate blade rotation, limit midspan deflection to negligible amount, ate trailing edge fatigue failure
Easy to change blade profile (especially camber) in subsequent generations but limited to straight not helical or curved blades
