How to Obtain Resources for Your Design Project

Some money is available for the basic resources needed for the design projects.  This includes materials for construction or completion of your project, reference materials and software.  Please be aware that this is not a "budget", but instead represents resources that can be tapped IF NEEDED.

This is the same budget that has built the $40,000 dollars worth of infrastructure in Crosby lab that is dedicated to the design program.  This infrastructure is in need of further expansion and so these resources should be used with care.

In general: two options are available at this time if you need something for your project

  • Donations, many companies are happy to help out with donations to educational projects.  The most likely people to assist you are those in highly technical product areas who appreciate the challenges associated with high quality undergraduate design projects

  • Purchases using existing resources.  These must be don through the system so that proper accounting can occur.  Sales tax will not be reimbursed, and no reimbursement will occur unless prior authorization of the purchase occurs.  The purchases should be made with  purchase orders whenever possible, the proper forms are in excel and pdf format.
