Assistive Jogger
PROJECT
SUMMARY
The purpose of
this project is to
develop a device that will allow people with disabilities or injuries
to run or jog outside. The main priorities for this year are to address
the steering and collapsibility of the jogger. We are designing and
fabricating an active steering system that allows the operator to have
more control than the 2010 model. We will also build the jogger in such
a way that it can collapse for easier transportation. Another issue we
plan to address is the bonding at the joints. The 2010 model is
experiencing a problem with the composite adhering to the steel that we
plan to fix.
