Sustaining members receive all of the above benefits, in addition to all issues of the
PAA Insider. As a Sustaining Member, you will not only stay abreast of potato research in the

Journal and posted on the PAA website. You will also receive special recognition
at the annual PAA banquet and in the program.

MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES
Any person who pays annual dues [$100 US currently] may become an individual member with all rights and
privileges of membership and receive for a period of one year the AMERICAN
JOURNAL OF POTATO RESEARCH including electronic access and other publications authorized by the Executive Committee.
Honorary Life - No membership fee.
Honorary Life Membership may be granted at the discretion of the Executive Committee
to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the interests of The
Association or the potato industry. Not more than four new Honorary Life Members shall
be elected at any Annual Meeting. Honorary Life Members are entitled to all membership
rights and privileges, shall receive for a period of one year the AMERICAN
JOURNAL OF POTATO RESEARCH, followed by a lifetime of electronic access to the AMERICAN
JOURNAL OF POTATO RESEARCH and AMERICAN POTATO JOURNAL; PAA Insider, other publications authorized by the
Executive Committee, and are not obligated to pay dues. Biographies of newly elected
Honorary Life Members shall appear in the official publication of The Association
following their election at the Annual Meeting.
Graduate Student - $20.00 U.S. for one years membership. Held by graduate students who are
active at the time of application and are conducting potato research. Graduate students must have the signature
of their major professor to certify membership. Includes all benefits as

Emeritus Membership - $35.00 U.S. for one year membership. Emeritus membership status may be granted to any person who pays the appropriate
dues, has previously held an individual membership, and has retired from their
professional position. Emeritus members are entitled to all membership rights
and privileges and shall receive for a period of one year the PAA Insider, electronic
access to the
AMERICAN JOURNAL OF POTATO RESEARCH, AMERICAN POTATO JOURNAL, and other publications authorized by
the Executive Committee.
Sustaining - $500.00* U.S. for one years membership. Sustaining membership may be granted to any person, firm, association or
organization upon payment of Sustaining Membership dues and shall receive for a
period of one year the AMERICAN JOURNAL OF POTATO RESEARCH, electronic
access to the AMERICAN JOURNAL OF POTATO RESEARCH AND AMERICAN POTATO
JOURNAL; the PAA Insider, and other publications authorized by the Executive Committee.
Participation in The Association affairs requires that one individual be designated as
representative for the Sustaining Membership. Sustaining members contribute their
knowledge, expertise, and professional involvement to ensure the continued strength
of The Potato Association of America and promote excellence in the potato. Membership
benefits the individual and organization through public recognition of participation in
The Potato Association of America, access to technical information through
subscription to the publications, and discussions with the general membership at
Annual Meetings.
