Women Composers Concert This 11th annual concert features the Athena Consort, directed by Heidi Corliss, who will premiere a new work by Beth Wiemann. In addition, faculty and students from the School of Performing Arts will perform works from a wide variety of styles and time periods. Wednesday, October 22, Minsky Recital Hall, 7:30pm.
The primary goal
of the WIC/WST Program is to help the University of Maine
achieve a balanced curriculum that includes the contributions,
perspectives, values, and needs of women as well as of
men.
To this
end, we coordinate the Women's Studies Program and the
curriculum integration effort and work toward an academic
climate that encourages the full growth and participation
of all women, including minority women.
