The Mitchell Center's analytical chemistry laboratory merged with the Sawyer Environmental Chemistry Research Laboratory (SECRL) in 2006. This merger streamlined on-campus laboratory capabilities resulting in better service for external partners and collaborators. SECRL manager John Cangelosi can be contacted at 207/581-3239.

The Mitchell Center maintains a smaller laboratory space in Norman Smith Hall for use by its staff and graduate students.
