NSF Water Workshop: Water and Watershed Dynamics
Hosted by Vermont EPSCoR
November 9 - 12, 2008

The Vermont EPSCoR-sponsored Water and Watershed Dynamics workshop is intended to draw together researchers from NSF EPSCoR jurisdictions to share research interests and explore areas for developing collaborations.
Outcomes from this meeting will include shared knowledge, development of collaborations, awareness of the NSF opportunities for water research funding, improved competitiveness of NSF EPSCoR faculty for water research
funding across the NSF directorates, and enhanced awareness of involvement of under-represented students in water research.
The workshop will address four overarching themes:
- Theme 1: Change Dynamics
- Theme 2: Water Research Tools
- Theme 3: Implications for Management
- Theme 4: Social Impacts

Heads-up! Maine Water Conference 2009
The Call for Abstracts for the 2009 Maine Water Conference will be released on November 3, 2009. The Conference will be a combined meeting with the Northeast Geological Society of America (NEGSA). The NEGSA meeting is a three-day meeting scheduled for March 22-24 at the Holiday Inn in Portland. One day of the meeting - Tuesday, March 24 - will be geared towards Maine Water Conference sessions.
