Meeting goals:
- strengthen the network of researchers and managers focused on the restoration of diadromous fish, other species, and their habitats in the north Atlantic region,
- identify major scientific questions that accompany diadromous species restoration projects and promising research and management strategies. These will be the focus of future DSRRN workshops.

WRRI STUDENT SUMMER RESEARCH - Request for Proposals
The Maine Water Research Resources Institute is requesting proposals for undergraduate and graduate research projects in the areas of water resources and related environmental sciences for summer 2009. Deadline for receipt of proposals is 5pm on Friday, March 20, 2009.
Only full-time undergraduate or graduate students at colleges or universities in Maine are eligible. Students may request funds for the following: summer stipends, supplies, travel, and tuition. Maximum award amount is $5,000.

PREDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIPS in Sustainability Science
We anticipate awarding up to ten predoctoral fellowships for study through Maine's Sustainability Solutions Initiative beginning in fall 2009. These fellowships in sustainability science would provide up to five years of support for students engaged in graduate study leading to a Ph.D. In addition, some fellowships may be available for students pursuing a Master’s degree.

SOUTHERN MAINE Source Water Protection & Collaboration Workshop

Are you interested in learning more about how to protect your town's drinking water supplies? This workshop is designed to provide local municipal officials and planners, land trust representatives, watershed council members, water system owners and operators, water board members, and other interested individuals opportunities to work collaboratively to solve drinking water resource protection problems.
