The Mitchell Center is involved with several K-12 education initiatives throughout the state.

Project WET (Water Education for Teachers)
An interdisciplinary water science and education program for formal and non-formal educators of K-12 students.

Penobscot Riverkeepers
On-the-river experiences for students throughout the Penobscot River watershed.

Northern Maine Children's Water Festival
One-day event that brings together over 800 students and their teachers to learn about Maine's water resources.
