As I am sure many of you are aware, Senator Mitchell has been appointed as President Obama's special envoy to the Middle East. He recently notified us that because of his new appointment he had to cancel any upcoming engagements, including his attendance at the Mitchell Lecture. Because he is such an integral part of the event, I’m sure you will understand our decision to cancel the Mitchell Lecture for this year. We will revisit plans for the 2010 lecture at a later date.
