Research Mission
The research mission of the
Senator George J. Mitchell Center for Environmental and Watershed
Research consists of grants awarded by the
Mitchell
Center/USGS to researchers in Maine, and research grants and
contracts awarded to the Mitchell Center. Grants and
contracts awarded to the Mitchell Center totaled more than
$1.4M in 2003, for a total budget of nearly $1.6M.
