ACM Meeting Monday, February 11

January 30th, 2008

It was great to see everyone who made the first meeting of the semester. The ACM is looking forward to a semester filled with a variety of fun events. The next meeting will be held Monday, February 11 at 4pm in room 118 (the computer cluster) in Neville Hall. As decided at the last meeting, the ACM will begin the process of selecting officers for the upcoming year. Students should come prepared with active students to nominate. The elections will then be held at the following meeting.

First ACM Meeting of 2008

January 26th, 2008

This post is just a reminder that the first ACM meeting of 2008 will be taking place this upcoming Monday at 4pm in room 118 Neville Hall. Anyone who is interested in computers and Computer Science can attend; you do not have to be a Computer Science major. Also, please come prepared with ideas for events that you would like the ACM to hold this semester. Looking forward to seeing you there!

Is there robot love? Read more to find out!

December 2nd, 2007

ACM members stormed the Orono Community Theatre showing of R.U.R. (Rossum’s Universal Robots) Saturday night. We were looking for a deeper understanding of robot-human interaction in an angst-filled modern world. And we found it! Below you can see some of our illustrious friends that became enlightened.

But wait! There is still more… You can see the final showing this afternoon at 3pm. Find out for yourself, is there robot love? The ones that have seen the play can assure you … there is, oh there certainly is.

Bombadeers to your stations!

June 16th, 2006

Student Orientation is today, and we have a table. The information fair is from 1-3:30 at the Maine Center for the Arts. Sky Mayhew and I will be manning the station; if your on campus you should stop by to say hi.

Updates as the day unfolds.

EDIT: It’s done. We handed out about 4 flyers. We gave out more laptop advice than anything, but we had a presence. Now for the kodak moment: New Student Orientation 6/06

Website nearing completion

June 14th, 2006

The website is nearly complete now, the forums and user registration should be fully functional (not themed yet but fully functional.) I had to wrestle with the user management system, but I believe I have won.

The time to begin putting up content is upon us. Let me know if you want anything posted to the site. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

ACM Website Update

May 2nd, 2006

Registration will be available as soon as I can get some changes made to the folder permissions on the webserver. Permissions are always so much fun on a Windows host.
