Key to meeting the objectives of the University of Maine’s ADVANCE project, and broader NSF program goals, is facilitating the professional development of our women faculty. Initiatives include mentoring, training, topical workshops and presentations, time management offerings, and grant funding that supports research, the formation of new collaborations, and skill development.

Did you know you can ADVANCE your event with a co-sponsor?
The Rising Tide Center may provide partial funding for on-campus events that align with our goals related to advancing the careers of women faculty in the STEM and social-behavioral science (SBS) fields. A limited amount of funding is available for event co-sponsorship, and will be awarded on a first-come basis.
Use the form linked below to submit an application for partial funding of your event.
Groups seeking full funding for events that support ADVANCE goals should apply through our Professional Development Grants program.
