For centuries, Africa has mesmerized the world with its stunning scenery, its' ancient civilization and hypnotizing music. Africa being the place where all human originated, has more diversity amongst its' various countries and societies than anywhere else. This is your chance to experience the world's most fascinating continent.
The African Students Association is a unique group. It represents students from various parts of the African continent. Our goal is to increase diversity at the University of Maine and also to provide an understanding of our culture to all those interested. We also unite to provide support for each other, especially to new African students trying to get over the culture shock.
AFSA welcomes all students regardless of nationality. It's a great way of learning about different parts of Africa and opening one's world view. To gain more information about us, visit our office located at the ALANA center.
