Sally Mae Beach Nagle, 66, from Jensen Beach,
Florida, and Bangor, Maine, died on April 9, 2003, from cancer. A.S. in
health information technology. She enjoyed singing and sang with the Sweet
Adelines and in her church choir. After retiring to Florida she worked with
the sick and elderly. She is survived by five children including Lydia N.
Hollandsworth ‘83 and one grandson.

Janet Nesin Reynolds, 48, from Wells, Maine, on
March 13, 2003. B.S. in biology in 1976 and M.Ed. in education. She taught
at the elementary and middle school level for 23 years. She began teaching
in the Bangor school system and spent the last few years at the Shapleigh
Middle School in Kittery. She received the Outstanding Middle Level Educator
award in 2000. She led workshops and consulted with numerous schools and
educators throughout the state. She enjoyed traveling, hiking, skiing, and
lived each day to its fullest. She is survived by her husband, three
children, and six siblings including Peter ‘74, Elizabeth N. Bickford ‘74,
Noah ‘79, Joseph ‘81, and Gertrude Nesin ‘83.

William “Jamie” McKeown, Jr., 36, from Needham,
Massachusetts, died on April 16, 2003, from a heart attack. B.A. in
sociology. He was employed as a food broker for Acosta Foods. He is survived
by his parents and two brothers.

Robert H. Thomas, 57, from Bangor, Maine, on May
1, 2003. Ph.D. in education. He was employed by Eastern Maine Technical
College as its founding director of the Ellsworth Hancock County Center. He
shared his love of sports with others and coached basketball at the YMCA in
Bangor. He was a dedicated member of the First United Methodist Church of
Bangor. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, two children including
Christianna ‘99.

Stuart James Wilson, 55, from Gorham, Maine,
died on May 5, 2003, following a stroke. A.S. in legal technology and B.A.
in 1998 in English. He later graduated from the University of Maine School
of Law in Portland. He is survived by his mother and brother.

Mary Ellen Bowers, 28, from Bangor, Maine, and
Suitland, Maryland, died on May 3, 2003, from cancer. B.A. in political
science. She was diagnosed with cancer while attending West Point and was
able to continue her education at UMaine. After graduation she worked for
Olympia Snowe as her state scheduler and assistant to the chief of staff.
She enjoyed country music, camping, and traveling. She is survived by her
husband.
