Capabilities
The AMC program is committed to maintaining a first-class facility equipped with the latest manufacturing technologies. Maine's manufacturing community can benefit by having access to state-of-the-art machining and test equipment for product and process development. The Advanced Manufacturing Center will design-build projects ranging from large scale fabrications to machined parts with micro-millimeter tolerances. It has the ability to expand it's range of expertise by working with other engineering faculty or through cooperative efforts with other UMaine research centers.

The AMC program works in partnership with Maine's manufacturing industries and machinery vendors to:
- Develop new products
- Investigate existing product refinements
- Improve process efficiencies
- Provide ongoing operational support
