The mission of the Advanced Manufacturing Center is to link the University of Maine activities of education and research with the University's active industrial support and economic development programs.
Capabilities
The Advanced Manufacturing Center maintains a first-class facility equipped with the latest engineering and manufacturing technologies. Maine's engineering, manufacturing, and industrial community benefit by having access to state-of-the-art services and equipment within the state for product and process development. A key advantage of the Advanced Manufacturing Center is the ability to expand its range of expertise by working with University faculty or through cooperative efforts with other University research centers. An immense knowledge base is derived from this cooperation that greatly increases services the Advanced Manufacturing Center can provide.
