UMADCOWS Photo Places Third in
Collegiate Photo Contest

The University of Maine photo won third place in the 2008 Holstein World Collegiate Photo Contest. Each year Holstein World Magazine sponsors a collegiate photo contest. The winning photograph will appear on the cover of the magazine's annual Collegiate Dairy Directory. Entries must include students and cattle in a collegiate activity or setting. Students from the UMADCOWS student-run dairy program decided what would be more natural than than to take cattle from the University's Witter  Dairy Farm to the Dairy Queen in Old Town for and ice cream break.  The above photo entitled "The Original Dairy Queens" is the result of their efforts.

The students in the photo are (First Row, L to R) Patrick Heacock, Arielle Jones, Elizabeth Hilton, Tara Bunch, Jennifer McGintee, Sarah Chavaree, Kristen Harris. (Second Row) Abby Futcher,  Jordan Carrier, Megan Kirkpatrick, Lindsey Walker (Third Row) Dianna Donahue, Jennifer Lehmann and Morgaine Day
