Food Run
The Food Run program is conducted in a partnership between Alpha Phi
Omega and Gamma Sigma Sigma, UMaine's service sorority. Friday evenings
brothers and sisters go
to York Commons and the Hilltop Commons to package up the leftover food
from the week and that day's meals. We then take this food in a van that
is generously donated by Cyr Bus Lines, and deliver the food
to the MANNA Soup Kitchen and the Bangor Homeless Shelter. Without this program the food that is not used
would be disposed of.
