Gamma Epsilon was one of the very first Beta Chapters to accept the Men of Principle Initiative. “Initiative” is the key word. The program is not a means of governance by the General Fraternity, nor is it a cookie cutter approach. Men of Principle is a completely voluntary program, and each chapter that chooses to adopt it adapts the program to fit their individual needs. Men of Principle rests upon the theory that individuals support what they help create. It facilitates complete ownership of the mission, vision and goals of the initiative. Each fall, the chapter objectively evaluates and assesses the previous year's progress and designs strategies and action plans for each of the initiative's nine goals. The nine goals are: 1. Cultivation of the Intellect 2. Leadership and Self Governance 3. Commitment to Community 4. Member Education 5. Responsible Personal Conduct 6. Chapter Advisors 7. Member Recruitment 8. Communication 9. Lifelong Fraternal Brotherhood Men of Principle is not a set of checklists and forms. It is a way of life, a commitment to being whom we say we are.
