The First Bancorp is a $1.3 billion bank holding company based in Damariscotta that serves the Mid-coast and Down East regions. Mr. Daigneault has held his current position since 1994, leading the bank through organic growth and the acquisition of FNB Bankshares and its subsidiary, The First National Bank of Bar Harbor. The First, NA is now the third largest Maine based bank. In addition to consumer banking products, the First Bancorp also provides investment management and private banking services through its First Advisors subsidiary. Mr. Daigneault previously worked at Camden National Bank, where he served as Vice President. A native of Lewiston, Maine, he earned a BS in Business Administration from UMaine in 1974. He is currently a member of the Stillwater Society, Board of Visitors and the School of Business Advisory Council.
