Mandy Holway Olver is Vice President of Olver Associates, an engineering consulting firm. Her spouse, William M. Olver (UM ‘80) is the firm’s President. Olver Associates has served as a consultant to Maine communities including Belfast, Brewer, and Orono, and specializes in municipal infrastructure design and operations. Ms. Olver earned a BS in Civil Engineering in 1983 and an ME in Civil Engineering in 1984 from UMaine. She is a member of the Stillwater Society and the Board of Visitors, and serves on the State of Maine Board of Professional Engineers. Through a recent endowment gift, the Olver Associates, Inc. Environmental Microbiology Laboratory was established in Boardman Hall to serve the civil and environmental engineering program at UMaine. The Olvers’ oldest son, William I. Olver, is a UMaine 2005 alumnus; other children, Kevin, Tom, and Erika.
