Sandra Leonard has been an Investment Broker since 1993 at A.G. Edwards & Sons. Prior to joining A.G. Edwards, she was an interior decorator/designer and owner of Home Port Designs, Ltd. Mrs. Leonard formerly taught English in the Gorham, Maine school district, Wagner College in New York City, Toho College in Tokyo, Japan and New Hartford High School in New York State. Mrs. Leonard earned a BA in English at UMaine in 1965. She is a member of the Board of Visitors, Stillwater Society, Patrons of the Arts, UMaine Foundation Board, Museum Advisory Board (Chair), and a Trustee of the Buchanan Alumni House Endowment Fund. Mrs. Leonard is a former member of the Collins Center for the Arts Advisory Board, Wing Sisters Society, UMAA Board of Directors, and a former member/chair of the President’s Development Council. Mrs. Leonard is the 2002 recipient of the Vincent A. Hartgen Award and the 2000 recipient of the Black Bear Award. She and her late husband, Edward “Ted” Leonard (UM ‘65) were instrumental in helping the UMaine Museum of Art move to Norumbega Hall in Bangor. Mrs. Leonard established the Leonard Lecture Series at UMMA in honor of her late husband Ted.
