Dorcas Wilkinson serves as Associate Vice President for Development at the Georgia Institute of Technology and leads the Institute’s Central Development programs including Regional Development, Gift Planning, Corporate Relations, Foundation Relations, Reunion Giving, and parents’ philanthropy. In addition, she oversees Development Research, Gift Accounting, Information Systems, Budget and Human Resources, and Stewardship operations that support the full 84-person Development team, including College and School based officers, Georgia Tech Athletic Development and International Development. Ms. Wilkinson joined Georgia Institute of Technology as Director of Annual Giving in 1995 and was promoted to Regional Director of Development in 1998. She has been involved with two major fund raising campaigns at Georgia Tech, including the current $1.5B Campaign Georgia Tech. Prior to moving to Atlanta, she was employed as Director of University Outreach at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. She is a graduate of Leadership Fairfax and was involved in a number of community and business organizations in Northern Virginia. Ms. Wilkinson earned a BA in International Affairs and French in 1978 and an MED in Education in 1980 from the University of Maine. She is a member of the Stillwater Society and the Board of Visitors at UMaine.
