Donations are always welcome. All of you who live in
Maine know that the State budget is tight and that the
University System is once again undergoing cuts. We at
the Maine Business School have taken our share of budget
reductions over the years and that has meant fewer dollars
for faculty support, for supplies, for personnel and
has hampered our ability to initiate or maintain programs
attractive to students and employers. Our undergraduate
student population has increased substantially (26% over
three years - the highest growth rate in the University)
and that has strained resources. Nevertheless, we have
a relatively new Masters in Accounting, we offer an MBA
and a management undergraduate business program in Belfast
and are bringing on line a brand new MBA program. Much
has happened despite budgetary problems.
Any contribution you might like to make would be helpful.
You can specify what your contribution supports. You
might want to help students through contributions to
a scholarship fund. You might want to support a specific
discipline. Or you might want to let the Dean decide
what he thinks would be most helpful by giving to the
Dean's Discretionary Fund. You could send a check to
the University of Maine Business School. Include your
name, address and any restrictions you want to place
on the use of those funds.
It is also possible to give to the Maine Business School
through the University's Annual Appeal. It can be found
by clicking
here.
