Undergraduate Programs - Management
Graduates
of this program are equipped with the tools and techniques that will
enable them to assume staff, supervisory, executive, or administrative
positions in business, industry, government, and other institutions.
Students in management follow a program that is broad in scope and aimed
at developing the student's grasp of administrative and organizational
principles. Basic subject matter offered includes administration and
organizational theory, motivational and social systems, human resource
management, production systems, and decision and policy making systems.
Employers of Recent Graduates Include:
Bank of Boston; Macy's; Hannaford Brothers; Jordan Marsh; Bank of America; The
People's Network (TPN); State Farm Insurance; UNUM; and Wal-Mart.

Students are required to take BUA 326 and BUA 330 + 3 electives. However, students entering the Maine Business School in fall, 2008 or later are required to take BUA 326, BUA 330, BUA 267 + 2 electives.
Sample Curriculum: Note that, although the following is a suggested curriculum, students should be aware that the upper-level management classes noted above as requirements are offered only once a year. Students must take responsibility for ensuring they meet all course prerequisities. Taking BUA325 in the sophomore year is assumed.
