Graduate Programs - 5-Year MBA
This program provides UMaine non-business degree majors the opportunity to complete the MBA program in one academic year, post baccalaureate (full time) by incorporating the MBA required undergraduate prerequisites during the student’s academic tenure. The 5-year plan is an aggressive schedule that should be undertaken with careful consideration by applicants willing to make a commitment commencing their freshman year, incorporating two summer terms during their degree program, and while earning a B- minimum in each of the MBA prerequisites. Students must first apply for the five-year MBA program and maintain academic good standing (cumulative GPA 3.2 preferred) in their undergraduate degree. Students are also advised to work closely with their current undergraduate academic advisor. Candidates for MBA matriculation must formally apply to the Graduate School and meet all other graduate application requirements, including GMAT. Qualifying students may take up to two graduate level courses during their senior baccalaureate year with prior approval by the Manager of MBA programs. These graduate courses are in addition to the 120 credit hours needed to satisfy the bachelor’s degree.
