Membership and Policy Information - Rates for Full Memberships and Specialty Passes
Facilities: Full membership includes use of the Recreation and Fitness Center and the Maine Bound Adventure Center, and open recreation times in the Wallace Pool and Mahaney Dome.
Programs: Free, unlimited adult group exercise classes (excludes yoga, pilates, cycling, and specialty classes). Please note that group exercise class size is limited and participation will be on a first-come, first-served basis. In addition, members receive the (lower) membership rate for other Campus Recreation programs and services like wellness programs, Maine Bound trips and courses, and outdoor equipment rentals. Please note that program availability is limited and registration may be required. Payment: Most membership categories may be paid in full up front, or in multiple payments via UMaine employee payroll deduction. Student-associated memberships are renewed at the start of each semester and must be paid in full at the time of purchase. We accept Visa/Mastercard, personal checks, cash, and MaineCard "Black Bear Bucks".
Individual Plus = member + spouse/partner or member + dependent children.
Partner = individuals who are domestic partners under UMaine's health benefits definitions.
Family = member + spouse/partner + dependent children (< 22 yrs) all living in the same household.
Employee = full or part time UMaine employee.

Specialty Passes
No other facility use, benefits, or discounts are implied or given with these passes. Specialty Pass Holders are not eligible to rent lockers at the Rec Center, and will pay the non-member rate, if applicable, for Campus Recreation programs and services that carry an additional charge.
