Please read the following:

A volunteer sport club coach must have approval from the sport club officers, club advisor, and the Sport Clubs Coordinator prior to coaching any UMaine sport club. The UMaine Sport Clubs Program requires all coaches to have national certifications and/or endorsements. If a coach has yet to attain a certification or endorsement they must obtain a certification or endorsement from the sport club's national governing body within 6 months of coaching start date.

Continued education in coaching theory is strongly recommended for all coaches. The volunteer coach is subject to annual review by UMaine Campus Recreation. A sport club coach is ineligible to participate for the club he/she is coaching. A volunteer coach is to provide only coaching and training techniques for the sport club.

Administrative responsibilities must be handled by student sport club members. A sport club coach does not receive monetary remuneration for his/her services, nor does he/she receive any other benefit from Campus Recreation. Coaches are not to promote private businesses or other activity for personal gain

By signing below, I acknowledge and agree to the above conditions set forth for volunteer coaches for the UMaine Campus Recreation Sport Clubs Program. I also agree to abide by all UMaine, Campus Recreation, and Sport Clubs Program policies and procedures. I have read and agree to follow the guidelines set forth in the Sport Clubs Handbook.
