A Tundra Anthology, in words and art showing children of many backgrounds growing up in many parts of Canada. It is also serves as an introduction to a variety of artists who do work appealing to children. The text includes stories of children of Jewish, Québécois, black, Chinese and Japanese backgrounds, among others.
Check on-line used book sources for a copy if you can't locate one through interlibrary loan.

ExhibitTasks
- Examine the illustrations. List 10 activities children participate in as suggested by the images.
- Sort the images into regions. Look at the clues in the caption or on the back to determine which region they are from.
- Select images from two regions and discuss the similarities and differences in the children's activities. Write a summary statement in your own words and mention which two regions you are referring to.
- Find an image of something you have done or still do, and write a couple of sentences about how the details are similar or different from your experience.
