ExhibitTasks

A)  Look at the map Percentage of Canadians who speak French at home to answer the following questions.

          - Which provinces/territories have less than 10% people who speak French only?

          - Which provinces/territories have a large percentage of French-only speakers?

          - Is Canada a primarily French-speaking or English-speaking country?

B)  Look at the map Percentage of Canadians who are French-English bilingual to answer the following question.

          - Which provinces/territories have between 8% -12% of French/English bilingual speakers?

C)  Now, compare both the maps:

          - Which province has almost the same percentage of people who speak French at home as who are  bilingual French/English speakers?

          - Which province has more people who speak French only at home, than people who are bilingual speakers of French and English?


D)  Scan the worksheet called "Nommez l'animal" (which means, Name the animal). Underline words which look like English words. Fill in the blanks around the picture on the worksheet with the correct words in French. Refer to Glossary.
