WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

  • Professional development for Grade 4 teachers

  • Providing background and resources for specific Canadian studies subjects identified in the MA Grade 4 History and Social Science curriculum framework

  • Participants will receive a certificate of PDPs/contact hours, handouts, and resources including a compilation of the units created during the workshop

Rosa Flynn and Gail Pinkham, Massachusetts-based Educational Consultants for Isuma Productions, Igloolik, Nunavut, and co-authors of an interactive e-learning website

DAY 3 Curriculum Writing

Collaborative curriculum writing using the resources from the first two days, curriculum resources, and the experience of the instructors and participants.

Sessions will run from 9:00-4:30 each day, with 1 hour for lunch on your own.

REGISTRATION FEE $75.00 for three days

The Consulate is located on the 4th floor of office buildings above a 2-storey mall flanked by the Westin Hotel and Neiman Marcus at the intersection of Dartmouth Street and Huntington Avenue

WORKSHOP REGISTRATION

 

PDPS / CREDIT / CONTACT HOURS

PDPs - Participants will receive a certificate for 19 PDPs
(approved by MADOE Office of Professional Development)

GRADUATE CREDIT - Participants wishing to receive 2 Graduate Credits for this workshop will make arrangements to register and pay Plymouth State University.
Course Number is ED 5500 - Canadian Studies Curriculum Workshop.
The cost at the out-of-state rate is $120 per credit.
