Alumni Career Services are available for $60.00 for six months of service. Through a cooperative arrangement with the University of Maine Alumni Association, current Alumni Association members may receive career services for a discounted fee of $30.00 for six months. You may call (207) 581-1133 to pay by credit card. For $70.00 you can become a member of the Alumni Association for a year and receive six months of Alumni Career Services. As an Alumni Association member you will receive numerous other benefits including a subscription to MAINE magazine and your class notes publication, Mainely People. You may register electronically for Alumni Career Services via CareerLink and forward payment accordingly. If you prefer, complete the Career Center Registration Form and submit it along with the appropriate fee.

Alumni registrants are eligible for virtually all the same services available to currently enrolled students. For example, fee-paid alumni have access to resume/cover letter critiques, career counseling, practice interviews and the Maine Mentor program. In addition, they have access to the multiple job-search resources available in the Career Library. Fee-paid alumni are also eligible to participate in on-campus interviewing.

Career Fairs are also open to alumni. An Alumni Career Services brochure is available for anyone interested in these services.

Employer downsizing and job transitions are common reasons why alumni register for career services. Alums' substantial work experience can enhance the likelihood that their resumes will be referred to employers seeking job applicants. Registrants can also access employment opportunities via CareerLink. Other listings are available on our Job Listings Database and also on a web page called Internet Job Searching.

Alumni responsibilities include: keeping file information current, providing the Career Center with updated resumes for referral to employers, giving advance notification if unable to keep counseling appointments, and letting the Career Center know when a career decision has been made and services are no longer required.
