and job search process are available on a self-service basis in the
Career Library. The Career Library is managed by Career Assistants,
who are available to assist students and alumni with resources and
general information on Career Center services. Frequent use of the
Career Library will assist you in becoming an informed, self-confident
job seeker.

in the Career Library. The Career Center web page provides easy

or by region . Federal and state
jobs can also be accessed via the Career Center web page under Government
Job Links. Positions are listed at all levels including entry level,
mid-management and executive level. Career Assistants are available
in the Career Library to offer individual help as well.
Co-op
and Internships
The Career
Center has a number of directories listing co-op, internship and
summer employers. A number of the subscriptions listed above contain
internship and summer job listings. Students can also search the
Co-op/Internship
Database.
Employer Information
A collection
of literature from hundreds of organizations is housed in the Job
Search section of the Career Library. Two special files, one containing
federal government data and another containing data on Maine employers
are clearly labeled.. The employer directories also contain extensive
information. Employer handout information on organizations participating
in the Career Center Campus Interview
program is available in the display rack in the waiting area
outside the interviewing rooms. Employer literature supplements
the vast amount of similar information available on the World Wide
Web.

Over 400
self-assessment, career planning, and job search strategy resources
are housed in the Career Library. These include computerized resources,
graduate school directories and catalogs, videotapes and nearly
150 resources dealing with job search strategies. |
