Crisanne Kadamus Blackie is the Health and Legal Professions Career Specialist. She works with all students who need to go to graduate school in order to become a health care provider and all students interested in attending law school. She completed her Baccalaureate degree at Hobart and William Smith Colleges and her M.Ed. in Student Personnel Administration at Springfield College. With 20 years of experience in the field of Career Development, Crisanne has worked in both higher education and the private sector. Prior to the University of Maine, she worked as a career counselor at Western New England College and Hawthorne College and was the Director of Career Development at Franklin Pierce College. Crisanne has experience in running a family business and working as a career consultant. She worked for a student loan corporation as an outreach coordinator and developed a program that provided services via a hotline and mobile information center. In addition, Crisanne is a trained mediator, a certified business coach, a National Certified Career Counselor and a Master Career Counselor.
Crisanne enjoys working with pre-professional students and encourages all students with interests in the areas of health careers or legal careers to stop by her office and explore their options.
