Current Research Interests in Physics Education
Research:
- Student understanding of Entropy and the Second
Law of Thermodynamics at the introductory and
upper-division levels in physics, as well as
interdisciplinary research among student thinking
on entropy in introductory and advanced courses
in chemistry and geosciences.
- The evolution of physics content knowledge
and pedagogical content knowledge of MST students
as they progress through a course that uses
and discusses various published research-based
curricular materials.
- Student understanding of the graphical representation
of vector- and scalar-products in a generic
and physical context.
