Data Creation & Maintenance
The Center for Literacy maintains all Maine Reading RecoveryŽ data. This includes:
- A database for every Reading Recovery program delivered to Maine's children since 1991-1992.
- A database for all Reading Recovery teachers for each school year since 1991-1992.
- A database for all participating Reading Recovery schools each school year since 1991-1992.
The Center for Literacy research team uses these databases to guide program evaluation.
The information is kept updated to complement the Reading Recovery Council of North America annual research design.
- The data is used as the basis for the annual Maine Reading RecoveryŽ State Report.
- Upon request, data to evaluate Reading Recovery programs at the school- level is also available.
Reading RecoveryŽ program evaluation is funded by the State Department of Education.
