Fall Welcome Day for New Students Who Live Off Campus

 STUDENTS WHO LIVE OFF CAMPUS

*** Newly enrolled  new students: first year commuters and non-traditional students should register and attend  your college Summer Orientation session if at all possible.

Summer Orientation will include meeting with your academic college faculty and include class enrollment.

Get ahead of the lines, take care of last minutes tasks, and meet other new commuters

WELCOME DAY
AUGUST 27, 2015
Memorial Union, University of Maine

8:30 AM -9:00 AM  Registration

 9:00 AM -9:55 AM   Welcome, Introductions, Memorial Union TBA Room

 10 AM -10:30 AM Sessions, 2nd floor Memorial Union. Rooms TBA

 10:35 AM -11:15 AM Sessions (Students stay in room, Presenters will switch rooms)

 11:20 AM-12:30 PM   Small Group Discussions & Lunch for New Students Rooms TBA

11:20 AM -11:45 AM Group discussion for Parents / Family Bumps Room, Memorial Union

11:45 AM Parents and family members may purchase lunch at the Bears Den, Memorial Union

12:30 PM -1:25 PM Tours, Start from Commuter Lounge.

1:30 PM -2:00 PM Final Q&A and Wrap up, Bangor Room

2:00 PM- 4:30 PM Time available to visit your college office for academic info (best to call ahead and make an appointment) or visit Financial Aid, The Bookstore or the Bursars Office.

 

*FY Commuters- commuter students recently graduated from high school and are starting college at UMaine.

*Nontraditional Students – commuter students who are 24 or older, parents, married/partners or veterans. Generally have been out of school for 3-4 years.
