Searching for a parking space!

Parking availability is updated regularly so we can direct you to areas with open spaces.

It's getting to be that time of year when inclement weather is a part of our daily routine!
Be sure to call 581-SNOW to find out if classes will be held, and don't forget to check your course syllabus for its cancellation policy! A decision about whether to cancel or postpone daytime classes will be made by the president or his designee by 6 a.m. and will be announced on a recorded message at 581-SNOW.† A decision about evening classes will be announced the same way by 2 pm. While a decision to cancel or postpone classes will be communicated to television and radio stations, members of the UMaine community are strongly encouraged to call 581-SNOW (1-800-581-SNOW outside the local area) when there is a question about whether classes will be held.

On Campus at night, need someone to walk with you? Don't Hesitate to call and ask for an escort. a member of the Community Service Corp. will come and escort you to your destination. An escort is when a member of the CSCís, or Community Service corp. shows up and accompanies you to your destination - whether this be a vehicle or dorm. If a CSC is unavailable, a Security or Police Officer will fulfill the escort, respectively. CSC will drive you in their vehicle. Mind that Public Safety is NOT a taxi service. We will accompany you around Campus grounds, College Ave. and to the University Park. CSCís wear blue shirts and jackets, and drive unmarked vehicles with 300-etc University plates - so donít be alarmed when they drive up to you. CSCís will walk with you if you must travel a reasonable distance. If going across campus or if weather is inclement, A CSC will drive you in their vehicle. Mind that Public Safety is NOT a taxi service. We will accompany you around Campus grounds, College Ave. and to the University Park. CSCís wear blue shirts and jackets, and drive unmarked vehicles with 300-etc University plates - so donít be alarmed when they drive up to you.
