Karen Hastings graduated from the University of Maine in 1981 with a degree in chemical engineering and received a law degree from George Mason University in 1988.
- Matthew Rodrigue
Matthew Rodrigue of Wilton, Maine, is providing advising and consulting services to the company. Rodrigue was the nation's top electrical engineering student in 2004. For the past year, the pair has collaborated to take CERC from the drawing board to the boardroom.

When Ashok Jhunjhunwala ’77G, ’79 Ph.D. returned to the University of Maine in May to be honored by the alumni association, it would be logical to think it was for his outstanding career achievements in engineering. But even more impressive may be what Ashok has dedicated that outstanding career to—a better life for millions of poor, rural Indians.

Beth Sturtevant is the President of CCB Inc. in Westbrook, Maine.
- Kate Beaumont
Since 2007, University of Maine engineering alumna Kate (Stephens) Beaumont has worked as a structural engineer at one of Maine’s largest employers, Bath Iron Works, owned by General Dynamics. Beaumont, who received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering in 2005 and completed her master’s in mechanical engineering this past summer, works in BIW’s Dynamic Analysis Group, where she engineers equipment foundations to survive shock loads.

The Bronx native graduated from UMaine in 1979 with a degree in civil engineering and a passion to pursue a career in dance. He launched his Hollywood career six years later.
