Information for All Degree Candidates |
Eligibility
Bachelor and Master Degree Candidates
who will complete their requirements by May/August/December 2008 are
eligible to participate in the ceremony.
Doctoral Degree Candidates
May graduates must have completed all requirements, including acceptance
of dissertation by the Graduate School, prior to May 2, 2008. If you are
unsure of your academic status, please contact your advisor or
department.
- March 15: Deadline for filing
Application for Degree with the Office of Student Records
- April 11: Submit a Notice of Oral
Examination to the Graduate School
- April 24: Tentative
thesis/dissertation and Tentative Thesis Acceptance Form with
required signatures due in the Graduate School
- April 25: Oral defense deadline
- May 2: Final thesis/dissertation and
Final Thesis Acceptance Form with required signatures due in the
Graduate School
August graduates can participate in the
May 2008 Commencement if the following requirements are met:
- March 15: File for August graduation
with the Office of Student Records. Applying for May graduation is
reserved ONLY for students completing all requirements.
- April 11: Submit a Notice of Oral
Examination to the Graduate School
- April 24: Tentative
thesis/dissertation and Tentative Thesis Acceptance Form with
required signatures due in the Graduate School
- April 25: Successfully present and
orally defend dissertation by April 25th, the given deadline for
participation in May Commencement.
- May 2: Submit a copy of the Final
Thesis Acceptance Form demonstrating an affirmative vote of the
Committee (Section 1 of the form), indicating that the dissertation
was successfully defended.
