The faculty provide service to the community not only through the work of the
Madelyn E. and Albert D. Conley Speech, Language and Hearing Center, but also through colloquia and workshop presentations to special interest groups. Faculty also are active in state and national professional associations such as the
Maine Speech-Language-Hearing Association
(MSLHA) and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
(ASHA). Small classes, one-to-one student advising, close clinical supervision and research assistantships allow significant faculty-student interaction.
