Lorriann Mahan works part time for the department as a lecturer,
clinical educator, staff speech-language pathologist, and undergraduate
coordinator. In addition to academic teaching and advising, she provides
clinical supervision for graduate students at the Conley Speech,
Language and Hearing Center and a local preschool. For 15 years, Ms.
Mahan worked in the public schools with kindergarten to eighth grade
students. She has a private practice that focuses primarily on children
ages 12 months to elementary age, where she uses a family-centered
treatment approach. Areas of interest include phonological development
and delay/disorder, childhood apraxia of speech, language learning
impairment and autism spectrum disorder. About
