I hail from Oregon and Colorado where there are many opportunities for outdoor activity. While I used to snowboard quite a bit I have recently chosen the more leisurely snow time experience of snowshoeing. I absolutely love being near the Ocean. Hiking and running are other activities I take pleasure in as well as writing stories for my own amusement. I enjoy playing sports as well as watching them. I especially look forward to watching the University of Maine hockey team take the ice next season. I’m fortunate to be married to someone who enjoys the outdoors and a baby boy who hasn’t shown resistance to it.

What has been your most embarrassing moment?

I was taking a picture of my wife and two friends at the starting line of the Shamrock Run in Portland, Oregon on St. Patrick’s Day. As they began running I decided to run ahead to snap another picture. I tripped over a sprinkler head, caught myself with my hand, and continued running. I tripped over the next sprinkler and fell a little further then the last time but was still able to continue running. The third sprinkler I tripped over I fell on my knee. I continued running but no longer to get a picture but to run away from the many people who had seen me trip three times! First time, shame on the sprinkler. Second time, shame on me. Third time, there shouldn’t be a third time.

What is your favorite comfort food?

Pancakes, eggs, and bacon with fancy Vermont syrup over the top of all of the above mentioned items. Any time of the day is good but I prefer dinner.

If you could take a trip anywhere in the world, where would you go?

From Bangor, Maine I would revisit Anchorage, Alaska where I would then fly to Moscow, Russia, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and then back to Bangor, Maine.
