I am originally from New York and graduated from Clark
University in Worcester, Massachusetts in 1964. I continued north on my journey where I
received my doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Maine in 1970. I only
planned to stay in Maine a few years, but in 1970 I was invited to join the newly expanded
Counseling Center staff at the University of Maine. In 1978 I developed and still direct
the pre-doctoral psychology internship program. I am also a founding member of the
Association of Counseling Center training Agents (ACCTA). Thirty years
later I am still in Maine! This is simply a wonderful place to live and
a terrific group of colleagues to work with. I enjoy nature, the ocean,
playing tennis, and attending Maine's basketball and hockey games.
