I was born and raised on the coast in Southern Maine. I moved to the area in the fall of 2005 to complete my bachelor’s degree in Social Work (BSW). I am presently perusing my Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) and plan to graduate in May of 2009. In my spare time I enjoy camping, hiking, fishing and painting. My husband and I currently live in Orono with our pet chinchilla and two gold fish.

What has been your most embarrassing moment?

My husband and I went camping for the weekend a couple years ago. We were driving in the middle of no where when I decided I wanted a snack. I asked him to pull over so I could get a snack out of the cooler which was in the back of the truck. The black flies were especially bad that weekend. I rushed to pull the lid off the cooler before getting eaten alive but it was really stuck. As I pulled, the lid came loose all of a sudden and I punched myself in the face really hard. The lid hit my forehead and my fist (still holding the lid) hit me in the mouth and nose at the same time. I gave myself a welt on my forehead, a fat lip and a sore nose in one smooth move.

What is your favorite comfort food?

Dark chocolate and fresh fruit together or separately.

If you could take a trip anywhere in the world, where would you go?

I would take a trip to any tropical island with hammocks, turquoise water, and snorkeling.
