I have lived all over the US, from
Lithonia, GA, to El Paso, TX. I received a BA in psychology from the
University of South Florida, an MS in applied psychology from Montana
State University, and an MA from Fielding Graduate University, where I
am currently working on my PhD in clinical psychology. After enjoying a
career as an accountant, I am transitioning to a vocation that better
matches my need for personal growth and more meaningful conversations. I
am passionate about honoring and seeking to understand the unique
experiences of others. I love acting, hiking, and cross-country skiing,
which I learned while working for a resort in Big Sky, Montana, where I
spent many a lunch hour on the trails.
What has been your most
embarrassing moment?
In high school, despite having no formal training, I
decided to compete in a singing competition, solo. Having no clue what I
was doing, I picked a difficult song and had no idea how bad I was… that
is, until I saw the supportive smiles of my audience (including one of
the most popular guys and talented singers in my school) slowly turn
into pained grimaces. I was mortified, but apparently not enough. The
following year, I auditioned for the school musical. Suffice it to say,
I was put in charge of applying the stage makeup on less pain-inducing
singers.
