hey guys whats up, i hope all is well back in Maine, i just felt a bit motivated to write something on politics and will probably continue to contribute when i get motivated and have a free moment at work. Well here's some 2008 election analysis -

As evidence of racism in Obama's campaign has arisen by way of Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright's firebrand speeches, many have been quick to judge this as a skeleton in the closet of Obama's campaign. However intolerable the Reverend's speeches were, Obama has stopped short of condemning him in an unprecedented political move. What is surprising is that Barack condemned the Reverend for his "divisive" comments from the pulpit, yet did not eject him from his campaign or completely distance himself from Reverend. This is a new trend in politics which I find a bit hypocritical. For example, "Hitlery" ejected every embarrassing advisor or campaign operative that made comments that caught the eye of the media and were categorized as negative. Geraldine Ferrero is my case in point. After making comments to the tune of "Obama wouldn't be getting as much attention if he were white," Clinton immediately ejected this close member of her campaign amid controversy that these statements were racist. Yet we see the complete opposite with Barack and in my opinion quite a foolish move. If Mr. Obama wishes to be a uniter and not a divider, especially along racial lines, why keep a stalwart racist preacher on your campaign? And then claim that by only electing him president he can heal these fissures within the racial walls which strain under such bigotry. Granted I believe that Obama would be a far better Democratic president than Clinton could ever be, I find what Rev. Jeremiah Wright said to be quite ignorant as many racial comments are no matter which color or creed they are aimed at. By keeping Wright onboard his campaign the Senator from Illinois only seeks to seal his own political fate. There are likely a number of white, union voting members who will now swing from the Obama camp straight into the hands of Bitchzilla - yes I am referring to Hillary Clinton and not Geraldine Ferrero. Unfortunately Clinton's controversies seem to portray her as the proverbial "Teflon" of the '08 campaign. Has everyone forgotten about Norman Hsu? The Chinese fundraising operative that Hillary received a known $50,000 and at least a million in donations to various democratic campaigns. This to me is a spot far worse than a mere racist preacher. In summary I do not think Obama is racist, however his condemnation of Rev. Wright was haphazard and sloppy. He should have taken steps to silence the idiotic firebrand that has, in my opinion all but sunk his campaign.

First of all, I have to say I don’t see how Barbour is able to claim the Republican nomination in this scenario, but like others have said, I think Obama will beat him decisively with even an average first term.
